A Growing Crisis

Trump highlighted the alarming rise in child trafficking, stating, “We had it down to the lowest number in many years, just four years ago, and now it’s gone through the roof.” He criticized the media for ignoring the issue, describing it as a “big problem” that needs immediate attention.

Immediate Actions as President

In his video, Trump outlined his commitment to securing the border and dismantling transnational criminal organizations. He emphasized the urgency of addressing the crisis created by the current administration’s border policies. “When I return to the White House, I will immediately end the disaster at the border that Biden has created and that smugglers use to exploit vulnerable women and children,” he stated.

Legislative and Executive Efforts

Trump recounted his previous efforts to combat human trafficking during his tenure. He mentioned several significant actions, including:

  • Executive Orders: Targeting transnational criminal organizations involved in trafficking.

  • Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act: Authorizing $430 million to fight sex and labor trafficking.

  • The Abolish Human Trafficking Act: Strengthening support for survivors and providing more resources to end modern slavery.

  • Border Security: Building and renovating hundreds of miles of wall and securing cooperation from Mexico to deploy 28,000 soldiers to protect the border.

A Call for Capital Punishment

Trump made a bold promise to push for the death penalty for anyone caught smuggling children across the border. “I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately,” he asserted. He emphasized that this punishment would also apply to women involved in trafficking, as they are often perpetrators.

A Commitment to Reunite Families

In his plan to address the child trafficking crisis, Trump pledged to use Title 42 to return trafficked children to their families without delay. He stressed the importance of reuniting these children with their parents and ensuring their safety.

Acknowledging Contributions

Trump thanked key individuals involved in the film “Sound of Freedom,” including Eduardo Verástegui, Jim Caviezel, and Tim Ballard, for raising awareness about child trafficking. He concluded his message with an unwavering commitment to ending human trafficking and defending the dignity of human life.

The Road Ahead

Trump’s video has gained significant traction on social media, resonating with many who are concerned about the rise in child trafficking and the perceived inadequacies of current border policies. As the election approaches, his strong stance on these issues will likely be a focal point of his campaign.
